Spot Coach

Spot support

Spot is an AI fitness coach for iPhone and Apple Watch. It plans your workout, runs it with you set by set, and adapts as you go: strength, cardio, mobility or bodyweight, at the gym, at home or on the road.

Email support@spotfit.app with what happened and roughly when. We usually reply within a couple of days.

Connect Spot to your AI assistant

Spot comes with an MCP server, so any AI assistant that supports MCP connectors (such as Claude or ChatGPT) can work alongside it. Spot coaches you through every set; your assistant keeps the big picture: your program across weeks, notes for your care team, and guardrails that let Spot work around injuries.

The connector address is:

https://api.spotfit.app/mcp

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it “Spot” and paste the address above.
  3. Click Connect and sign in with the same account you use in the Spot app (Apple, Google or email), then allow access.

ChatGPT and other assistants

Add a custom connector (sometimes called an MCP server or app) in your assistant's settings, paste the address above, and sign in with the same account you use in Spot. Menu names vary between assistants and change over time; look for “connectors”, “apps” or “MCP” in its settings.

What to try

“My physical therapist sent me these exercises for my knee. Add them to my plan and make sure Spot doesn't load deep squats until she clears me.”

“Here's the training split my trainer emailed me. Schedule it for the next four weeks around my Tuesday dance class.”

“How was my week? Compare my workouts with my sleep and recovery.”

Spot's coach reads everything your assistant writes (your plan, notes and guardrails) and sends your assistant a short handoff after every workout. You can disconnect the assistant at any time in its settings.

Common questions

Signing in

You can sign in with Apple, Google or an email and password. If you sign in with Apple or Google using an email you've used before, you land in the same account.

Health data isn't showing up

Open the iPhone Settings app, go to Health › Data Access & Devices › Spot, and allow the categories you want Spot to use. Keep Background App Refresh on for Spot so it can sync while the app is closed.

Using Spot without an Apple Watch

Everything works on the iPhone alone. With a watch, the two stay in sync during a workout, and whichever you tap takes over.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Settings › Account › Delete account. That deletes your account and everything Spot holds for you immediately, signs out your phone and watch, and disconnects any AI assistant. Data in Apple Health on your phone isn't touched. You can also email us from the address on your account and we'll do it for you.
